Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 (T20) league held in India. Players from different countries and Different cities of India come to play this tournament. It is one of the world's biggest tournament with double round Robin league and playoffs. There are 8 teams representing 8 Different cities of India every year. The League was founded by Board of Cricket Council in India (BCCI) in 2008. Most successful champions of IPL are Mumbai Indians (MI) who have 4 titles. Virat Kohli(RCB) has scored most runs in IPL Lasith Malinga(MI) has taken Most wickets in IPL. It is ranked 6th by average attendance among all sports leagues in 2014. The brand value of IPL in 2018 was rupees 475 billion. Till now, there have been 12 seasons of this tournament. The 2020 IPL was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

• The squad strength must be between 18 and 25 players with a maximum of 8 Overseas players.
• Salary cap of entire squad must not exceed rupees 850 million.
• U-19 cannot be selected unless they have previously played First class or list A cricket.
• A team can play a maximum of four Overseas players in their playing XI.
• A team can use DRS only once in an inning and use it more if it is successful.
