Chris Gayle is a West Indian cricketer who had captained the West Indies team from 2007 to 2010. He is regarded as one of the greatest batsman . He has set numerous records across all three formats of the game. He is the only player to score a triple hundred in test, double hundred in ODI and a hundred in T20. He is also known by many names such as universal boss, Gayle storm, Gayle Force, World Boss and many more. He is a fabulous all rounder (Left arm batsman and right arm off break bowler). He made his test debut on 16 March 2000 vs Zimbabwe ; ODI debut on 11 September 1999vs India and T20 debut on 16 February 2006 vs N.Z. He played his last test on 5 September 2014; last ODI on 14 August 2019 vs India and last T20 on 8 March 2019 vs England.In February 2019, Gayle announced that he would retire from ODI Cricket World Cup but in June 2019, he told to play ODI and test matches against India in August. During the series, he had played his ODI match and also became the leading run scorer for West Indies breaking Brian Lara's record.

In IPL, he started playing for KKR in 2008,then for RCB in 2011 and then for KXIP in 2018. In 2015, He set up an academy 'The Chris Gayle Academy' to help disadvantaged children in both Jamaica and U.K. better themselves and their communities through involvement. Some unknown facts about Gayle are He is also known as king of T20 cricket. In 2005, he suffered from heart condition during West Indies tour of Australia when he got dizzy and fainted. He got his inspiration from his school teacher. He also has its own bar in Jamaica 'Triple Century Sports Bar'; He had suffered from heart problems many times; He is the first cricketer to hit first ball six in test in 2012; he is the first cricketer to score more than 7000 runs and took more than 150 wickets; In 2011 IPL auction, no fantasy bid him.
