She plays as an all rounder ( right handed batsman and right arm off break bowler ) in Indian Women's cricket team. She grew up playing cricket with her father as a coach. She use to travel 30 km every day to learn Cricket. Making her ODI debut , she gave 10 runs with one wicket in 4 overs only. In 2016, she became the first ever Indian to sign a big bath league contract. She also became the first Indian to sign up with Kia Super league. She was offered WODI captaincy for the first time in 2013, while taking over WT20 captaincy in 2016. She made her test debut on 13 August 2014 vs England; her ODI debut on 7 March 2009 vs Pakistan and T20 debut on 11 June 2009 vs England. She is a right handed top order batswoman. She made her test debut on 14 January 2002 v.s. England; made her ODI debut on 26 June 1999 v.s. Ireland ( scoring her 1st century in her 1st ODI ) and made her T20 debut on 5 August 2006 v.s. England. She took retirement from T20 in September 2019. She is nicknamed as the 'Lady Tendulkar of Indian Women Cricket' as she is currently the all time leading run scorer for India in all formats in Test, T20 and ODI.
