The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the International championship of 2020 cricket. It is organised by cricket governing body , the "International Cricket Council" (ICC). It is earlier known as "ICC World T20". 1st edition was held in 2007 in South Africa , the latest edition was held in 2016 in India and the next edition is going to be held in 2020 in Australia but due to Covid-19 pandemic , it is postponed and going to be held in 2021 in India. It held after every 2 years 4 years after the conclusion of 2016 edition in May 2016 ICC put the idea of having a tournament in 2018 into SA but at the conclusion of 2017 ICC Champions Trophy , ICC announced next edition of World T20 would take place in 2020 in Australia , as originally scheduled ). First T20 World Cup winner is India in the captainship of M.S.Dhoni defeating Pakistan in 2007 finals and latest World Cup winners are West Indies in the captainship of Darren Sammy defeating England in 2016 finals. Most successful Champions of T20 World Cup are Westindies ( won 12 titles ). Mahela Jayawardene ( SL ) has scored most runs in T20 World Cup with 1016 runs. Shahid Afridi ( Pak ) took Most wickets in T20 World Cup with 39 wickets in hand till now.
